Hi all.
I have been looking at the seating map (nytheatre.com/nytheatre/chartweb/plan_gol.htm) and I have a question.
Is the orchestra seating what is also known as the %26#39;stalls%26#39; ? That is, the seating is on the ground floor level (so to speak) - I hope this make sense.
Also, is %26#39;orchestra%26#39; seating a common term at all Ny theatres?
Thanks in advance.

Seating at John Golden TheatreYes, ';orchestra'; seating is the common term here and, yes, it is the ';ground level'; seating.
Seating at John Golden TheatreThis theatre is very small compared to many other theatres so I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a bad seat in the house. We were quite a bit back and off to the side but saw everything.
Thanks for the info. Once again, everyone is very helpful.

First time I saw Q I sat in the very last row of orchestra---the wall was at my back.
Turned out to be a very good seat. (During one song they come out into the audience--I didn%26#39;t have to look behind me to see that bit.)
