My friend and I are taking out 2 teenage daughters to NYC. for a long weekend on April. I was wondering what Hotels would you recommend for us that would be close to most things and safe! ( Its an all girls weekend). We are looking into some shows maybe Hairspray any other suggestions and must dos!!!
thanks
ps I was thinking close to time square would be close to a lot but not being familair with NY I am not sure.
hotel recomendationsYou might want to get a guidebook/map of NYC to become more familiar with what is where in the City etc...
You must realize that %26#39;close to most things%26#39; is really not helpful to anyone who is going to offer an answer.
Tourist attractions are quite spread out, NYC isn%26#39;t like a theme park with everything concentrated in a certain area.
To the left of this posting ia a section on NYC hotels - check it out.
When you have some basic knowledge of the City - you%26#39;ll have a better idea of what to ask.
hotel recomendationsMy friend and I also took our teenage daughters to NYC for a long weekend a few years back. We had a great time! We stayed at the Hilton Times Square and thought the location was perfect. We felt very safe there and safe walking around the area at night. You can also walk to theaters from that location, and the teens love Times Square at night. You are just a few doors away from Madame Tussaud%26#39;s Wax museum which can be fun for that age. It was also close to MTV, Sephora, and within walking distance to Rockefeller Center and Macy%26#39;s. You are also at a subway stop. My girls loved walking through Soho and then Chinatown, around 5th Ave. You may also want to consider taking the hop on hop off bus for a tour around the city. ';Hairspray'; is a good choice for a show. My girls loved ';Wicked';. Their favorite restaurants were Serendipity and Joe Allen (where we had a few celeb spottings). Reservations were needed at both. If you are into power shopping, Century 21 has great deals. It is also across from the WTC Site where you would want to make a stop.
