Best Hotel $100-$250 a night?

Any suggestions?

Best Hotel $100-$250 a night?

There are few if any hotels for $100/night in NYC. Different hotels are good for diff. people/groups. If you%26#39;re looking for a hotel for a family with kids, that%26#39;s different from a hotel for a couple. Also, prices fluctuate based on dates. So when is your trip and how many people in the room? (or how many beds do you need?)

It will just be the two of us...a getaway without the kids...so one bed! Thanks!

oh, and we are going in April

Even though it is next to times square, I like Hotel 41. It is a really clean nice hotel with smallish rooms - perfect for a couple for a weekend. It is also really quiet which is surprising given its location.

Last time I think we paid around 180? That was in august though so I%26#39;m not sure how much it will cost in april.

This used to be my little secret but I think people are catching on now as the price has gone up since I first started to stay here.

I do recommend it though, it is centrally located, comfortable and the staff are always very friendly.

Have a good trip.

Try www.travelzoo.com or Priceline-and remember the taxes on hotel rooms can also add quite a bit.

travelzoo.com is a great place for specials. Right now most offers that are posted are only through March. Quikbook.com is a website with good prices (and no prepayment and you can usually cancel w/o a penalty).

Picking an arbitrary date in April, the best values (nice hotels) within your budget are the Millenium UN Plaza, Affinia 50 and the Excelsior. They are in different areas (first 2 in midtown east %26amp; Excelsior on the upper west side).

Agree Hotel 41 is a nice boutique hotel in the Times Square area. The Muse, the Shoreham and the Casablanca are sometimes on specials on travelzoo.

imo.. chelsea savoy.. have stayed a few times and for the price its really nice...

I%26#39;ve had lots of success using Priceline for booking hotels in NYC. I should add that while I can appreciate a LUXURY hotel, I am also SUPER flexible when it comes to hotels, and I prefer NOT to spend several hundred just for a place to shower and sleep.

That being said, I just bid $120 for a 4 star hotel in Midtown East. Most everyone who has done this seems to end up with the Grand Hyatt. It has received mixed reviews, but it depends on your needs and what you%26#39;re willing to tolerate. Some complained of paper thin walls and rude customer service, etc - so I%26#39;m just going to bring earplugs and frankly, I don%26#39;t anticipate spending much time talking with customer service. ;-)

Aside from using Priceline, we are also members of the Starwood Preferred Guests, which features among other hotels, the Sheraton hotel chain. For our upcoming trip, I had thought about booking the Sheraton Manhattan at $189 + tax/ night, but then I thought I%26#39;d save myself $75 and go with Priceline %26amp; the Grand Hyatt.

Good luck!
