Nice Apartments to Stay in NY
Bookings have opened by email only-at this stage not online if you contact Radio City Apartments and Hospitality House directly(google for websites) for Christmas next year. A one bedroom apartment at each should be within your budget although Best Western Hospitality House may be slightly over your budget but includes breakfast. Read the reviews on this site-I think they are the 2 best choices without having to pay money before your arrival-just give credit card details so can cancel up to 48 hrs before. You may be eligible for the AAA rate at Best Western(usually the best rate) if you are a member of the NSW motoring assoc.-I am in Vic and its reciprocal-your membership card should have the logo on it With a lot of other apartments you will have to pay a substantial amount upfront which made me nervous. From personal experience I loved my 1 bedroom apartment at Hospitality House In september-it was very spacious and have booked a 2 bedroom for the whole family next Christmas-its in a great location. Last time I booked with www.apartments2book.com-they have great rates-usually better than booking direct but charge 10% in advance for BWHH which you lose if you cancel. Good Luck!
Nice Apartments to Stay in NY
I stayed at www.west-eleventh.com in Sept 05 and really really enjoyed it. No lifts but it was like having your own apartment in NYC.....we stayed in the Marccuci which had a big bedroom with table and chairs, a separate study type room, small (and I mean small) kitchen area and bathroom.
Try www.gamutrealty.com
They have apartments all over New York City.
I stayed in one of their apartments with my cousin in November for $225 per night (plus taxes).
There were cheaper 1 bed apartments and studios available. (around $160 per night)
We stayed on E55th off 2nd avenue which was perfect for us. The apartment was spotlessly clean with sheets and towels provided.
We arranged it by e-mail a couple of months in advance and there was no hassle.
There is also a letting agent called manhattanlodgings .com that does similar apartments, but I haven%26#39;t stayed in one.
BW Hospitality house is great and a fabulous location for the price.
Thankyou for all your replys.
Dear Jabbawocky
Thank you for your info. I am looking for a 2 bedroom apt for my adult family of 4 too. I am more interested in BWHH after reading all the posts in the forum. Do u think BWHH is better than RCA too? What is the VIC motoring association . I am a RACV member, will that do?How much is a 2 bedroom apartment?
Win
Hi Win, if you look at your racv membership card(thats what we have) it has a AAA and show and save logo on the back-I emailed Hospitality House and said we were members and they have quoted AAA rates which were then about the same as apartments2book rates. When I stayed in Sept (meeting my 16 year old son after school exchange) I asked to see a 2 bedroom apartment and thought the size was great-although it still only has 1 bathroom. You aren%26#39;t in your room alot but at the end of the day its great to have a bit of space especially in our case there are 5 of us. The breakfast provisions left in the room each day are plentiful. RCA is cheaper and I have a booking there as well for our visit but I%26#39;m not sure what we will be getting and although we would save money I really loved everything about Hospitality House(its not superflash but very clean and great beds and I really felt we were living in our own NY apartment even in the 1 bedroom) and assuming the budget permits closer to our trip that will be where we stay.
Win,I forgot to mention rates-they can really vary alot between seasons-booking direct AAA can be around $250 in low up to $405 in peak plus taxes. I%26#39;d get a quote from apartments2book too if you are happy to pay 10% upfront-they may well be cheaper. If your kids are little you may manage with a 1 bedroom-my 16 year old found the sofa bed very comfortable-we paid $199 plus taxes through apartments2book
thank you again for your quick reply, but I couldn%26#39;t find their email address on their website, only found one for group booking .Ialready hold a booking at RCA and now want to try BWHH of the price is good too. I am paying 299 plus tax for the RCA.
hi jabbawocky
I tried to book direct with aaa.com, they do have a better rate but I can%26#39;t log in because I don%26#39;t have a 5 digit zip code . Can u tell me how to do it please?
