Wow, what great info on these boards. I will be bringing my 14 year old son to NYC in July for his Birthday, a first time trip to NYC for us. He wants to be sitting at Yankee stadium watching a game on his Birthday. (7/16)
After looking through everything (info overload!!) I have pretty much narrowed the hotels to 2 choices, Eastgate or Radio City apartments. Got a non-refundable rate at the Affinia website of $153. and $140. at RCA. RCA seems to be closer to sightseeing or is that just a visitors prespective? Any opinions on which is better for sightseeing and/or the hotels in general? We will be staying 4 nights/5 days. Any opinions on whether I should go ahead and book now to lock the rates? or wait? As I said above we will be going to a Yankees game on the 16th, also want to see all the regular sights including the WTC site and Chinatown. Thanks so much for any ideas or advice.
Hotel choice
Both rates (I assume that%26#39;s the daily rate) sound good to me. I would book one of them. I have never stayed at either one (live here), but both seem to get good reviews from what I have seen. Anywhere in Manhattan is close, it%26#39;s a small island with public transportation galore.
Hotel choice
Thanks. I think we will probably stay at RCA, my son wants to be in the ';middle of the action';.
Also wondering from that area what is the best way to get to Yankee Stadium and approximate travel time.
