i am looking to stay for around 5 nights in New york city, i need a hotel that is in the city, near local attractions and with good transport connections. can you reccomend anywhere good for under around 拢50 a night. i need a double room with ensuite

What time of year are you looking at going? Personally, I think you%26#39;ll find it a tall task to find something that will fulfill all your specifications!

just found the hotel newton - has very good reviews on here and can be bought at 拢52 a night! this looks perfect. time of year will be jan/feb next year

ahh :-( just read the small print - min check in age 21. i will only be 20

morningside inn also has fairly good reviews and is cheap..

50 pounds a night = $100.00 US - sorry you are not going to find a decent accommodation for this price in the City, especially ensuite (bathroom in the room).

You might want to check the listings for hotels to the left of this response and see what the going rate is for NYC.

Stayed there with my daughter for an overnight trip... just the basics, clean and right in the heart of the city.

the belnord and belleclaire hotels have fairly good reviews ( 3/5 on here) and are 拢50 a night with ensuite. so that will do me. im not after the ritz just somewhere to sleep between sightseeing, hockey games, basketball and broadway shows

less money on hotel = more money on fun :-)

Iam going in November where the Hotel Wolcott is working out at 拢45/night each for a triple room and is a block or 2 from the Empire Sate Building.
