Daytrip to Manhattan -- Best places to find bargains

Am flying into NYC early on Monday, 1/15 and departing on the latest flight that evening. Want to hit 30th %26amp; Broadway -- need tips on what%26#39;s around there regarding knock-off purses, etc. Any other discount or outlet shops around there or in Lower Manhattan.

Will also visit The Met. Any lunch suggestions?

Anything else fun you%26#39;d recommend for this day trip?

Second Century 21 suggestion. Also check dailycandy.com %26amp; sheckys.com for shopping and sample sales.

For lunch, look up Zagats to see what%26#39;s in your price range and types of cuisine nearby.

30th and Bway is the Garment District and I wouldn%26#39;t recommend spending a whole lot of time shopping around there. If you%26#39;re looking for knock-offs, your best bet is definitely Canal Street - try between 6th ave and Broadway. The street is lined with vendors selling tons of handbags, jewelry, perfume, etc.

Other outlet shops - I agree with Century 21 reco, Daffy%26#39;s also has bargain stuff (there%26#39;s one on Broome and Broadway). Definitely check out DailyCandy for sample sales.
