I searched and didn%26#39;t find any mention of this place) Has anyone ever been? Is it worth it? The web site gives directions via subway, but does it take a big chunk out of the day to get there and back?
Thanks once again, in advance.

I don%26#39;t recall ever seeing a post on this either, but if it is worth it to you, why not? See it, visit a real NYC neighborhood, actually sounds quite interesting.
The subway ride should take about 45 minutes from midtown, with the short walk , figure an hour each way, the tour is 40 minutes,
so should take 1/2 day for this excursion.
If it really interests you I say go for it.

Did u go to satchmo.net? This trip will take up at least 1/2 a day, with travel time and tour.I believe you can connect with a bus from the 7 train which will make the commute a little easier,I%26#39;ll look into it for you.The neighborhood its in doesn%26#39;t have much going on,its primarily residential.Do I think its worth it? no, but I%26#39;m not a satchmo fan.If your coming into the city, there%26#39;s so much to do,it depends on how much you want to see,and how much time you have to see it.
I%26#39;m interested in visiting there as well....
Maybe it requires more than a little effort to get to but I have a feelling I%26#39;d be glad I went....
