Cocktails near One if by Land?

I have finally decided on dinner at One if by Land for my 40th birthday celebrations in February, thanks again for helpful suggestions. Can anyone now suggest somewhere nice close by for cocktails after dinner? I see the restaurant has a bar, but would prefer to be able to go somewhere else, not too far away.

Not to be pushy, but I wonder if I was posting at the wrong time of the day for locals? One last try.......

One If By Land... actually has a nice bar in the front part of the restaurant. In that area, you could try the bar at the corner of Bleeker. It%26#39;s just a bar and hamburger type restaurant.

But with a choice like One If By Land... I suspect you might want something nicer. You may want to get a drink near where you are coming from first. If you want to go the Margaritta route- Mesa Grill (15th and Fifth Avenue) has I think the best anywhere.

Thanks for the reply. Im not sure about Bleecker. Given that this is to be the %26#39;big night out%26#39; of the trip, (my birthday), and we%26#39;ll both be dressed up for dinner, I was hoping for something a bit more atmospheric/romantic for cocktails near by. We dont mind a cab ride, just to know where to pick within a reasonable distance is the thing? Other suggestions anyone?
