Best Burger? Best Pizza?

I will only be there for 4 days and want the best burger and best slice. I have been to Jackson Hole and loved it. Any suggestions?

Previously Queensboulevard recommended the Old town Bar. It looks like a great NYC experience and in the reviews a number of people mention the how great the burgers are. I didn%26#39;t know about it until after my visit so it%26#39;s on my list for my next trip. http://oldtownbar.com/.

BTW, I love Jackson Hole burgers! Just went to one about 2 weeks ago.

I went to Rare a few months ago and was not impressed at all! I thought that POP Burger and Jackson Hole were much better. I also like Big Nick%26#39;s on the UWS. (I%26#39;ve never tried The Burget Joint inside the Parker Meridian hotel, so I can%26#39;t comment.)

I agree w QB, Big Nick%26#39;s on the UWS is yummy. Other great burgers out there -

Blue Smoke, Half King, barmarche, DuMont (in Williamsburg, Bklyn, excellent burger).

Eating burgers is a true passion of mine and I have been on a burger pilgrimage in NYC for about the past 8 months.

Here%26#39;s my personal top spots: note: I always order a medium rare burger with cheddar cheese. I only use mustard or mayo, never ketchup.

By the way the best is Shake Shack but they are closed for the season.

Veselka? No kidding! Very intereesting, would never have thought of that. Must try their hamburger next time I wander in there....

For Pizza, Cafe Fiorello tops the list in my book.

QB - Veselka has one of the best bacon cheeseburgers around - you will fall in love with it ;-)

Best burger? no question about it, P.J. Clarks-3rd ave and 55 st.

Best pizza? Otto -8th st and 5th ave.

Old Town is definately a place to have a couple, its a great old bar with lots of character,and theres always a mix of tourists and locals,it gets crowded after work on thursdays and fridays.
