The shop you mentioned...the address doesnt seem to be in Manhattan (but I could be wrong)

Zcars,
You%26#39;re welcome...I am still trying to get used to the fact of him needing to ';add on'; EVERYTHING to his bike...after the amount we already paid for it!! I know I know..no one keeps them stock! Hoping you have a great time in NYC.

The store in Long Island City, in Queens, is a good-sized place at the corner of 42nd Street and Northern Boulevard. It is primarily a motorcycle dealership, with the usual attached accessory and clothing shop. The place on Lexington Avenue is a clothing shop, period -- there are certainly no motorcycles for sale there! If you like looking at new bikes, go to the one in Queens -- if you just want a t--shirt, the place on Lexington will be easier to get to.
To get to the one in Queens, you should take the R or the V train to either 36th Street or to Steinway Street -- tthe store is sort of halfway between the stops. If you get off at 36th Street, you should walk six blocks (short ones) east -- that is, away from Manhattan -- along Northern Boulevard to 42nd Street. If you get off at Steinway. walk south (away from Broadway) three blocks (longer ones) to 34th AVENUE (this is that portion of Queens that confuses everyone because it is on the diagonal where the street numbers and the avenue numbers are almost the same) and turn left; go two short blocks to 42nd Street and Northern.
If you do go to Long Island City, you might also be interested in a visit to the Museum of the Moving Image, which is at 35th Street and 35th Avenue, very close to the Steinway Street subway station (if Steinway Street were numbered instead of named, it would be 39th Street; the Steinway Street subway station is on Steinway near 36h Avenue.)
I could be wrong, but I think the place on Lexington in the 50s is clothing only - they certainly dont have bikes or parts unless its through a catalog. I would think the LIC location is the place you want to go for add ons for your bike.
oops - didnt notice GWB said exactly the same thing!
