New York in June

I love New York in June; how about you?

One thing to be aware of when looking at that site is that the piers along the Hudson River -- which is called the North River when dealing with ships and piers, just to confuse people -- are numbered from the southern tip of Manhattan northward. Since the numbered streets start at Houston Street, and since Houston Street is the location of Pier 40, for locating North River (i.e., Hudson River) piers that are adjacent to the numbered portion of the street grid, just subtract 40 and that gives the the street where the pier is. Thus, Pier 82 is at 42nd Street, or Pier 63 is at 23rd Street, and so on.
