Hotel near LaGuardia with sleep, ride, fly option???

We are flying out of LaGuardia in February. Will be driving in from Connecticut. Does anyone know of an AFFORDABLE ($129.00 a night or less...including parking), DECENT hotel where we can stay, get shuttled to the airport, and leave our car???

Three years ago we did that with a hotel right near JFK...they served a great continental breakfast, and we left our car for the week. VERY affordable and we felt safe, but I can%26#39;t remember the name. Can%26#39;t seem to find one of these near LaGuardia, and if I do, they want you to spend a small fortune to leave your car.

Thanks!

It%26#39;s the parking that seems to me the problem.

If your flight is not much too early in the morning, did you give any thought to taking MetroNorth railroad in from Connecticut to Grand Central, and then the airport bus dirrect from there?

Try http://www.ctlimo.com/

They specialize in shuttles between NY airports %26amp; CT.

Thanks for your suggestions...I am aware of CT Limo, and used to use it years ago, but it is a pain...lots of stops and such. Our flight leaves LGA at 6:00 a.m. -- meaning, from where we are located in CT, we would need to leave our house around 3:00 a.m. -- which is why I thought it would be good to stay overnight somewhere right near the airport -- could get a good night%26#39;s sleep before the flight the next morning. Maybe we will just have to park at the airport, or in one of the off-site parking facilities like AVISTAR. The train would not be a good option for us either - oh well! Thanks anyway! :)

The Pan American hotel is not that close to LGA but does have a park and fly option and a shuttle. The problem you may find with it or any hotel is the shuttles generally don%26#39;t start early enough for a 6 am flight. (ugh). So you%26#39;d probably need a taxi or car service.

This is not a fancy place.

Don%26#39;t know how long you%26#39;ll be away, but if you%26#39;re near a Metro North station in Ct., I%26#39;d consider taking the train to NYC the day before, staying at a hotel in Manhattan on a Priceline bid and getting a taxi to the airport in the morning. If you bid for a 4* hotel in midtown east, you%26#39;ll likely win the Grand Hyatt which is attached to Grand Central. People win this for $100-150 fairly regularly. Have a read here

Thanks NYwhiz! We actually are contemplating staying at the Pan American...found it on this website or maybe even Expedia a few weeks ago and the reviews were actually pretty good. Can get the room for $87.00 per night, if booked on their own website, and parking is free while you are a guest there. We can then drive ourselves over to AVISTAR off-site parking near LGA for $15.00 per day (coupons!). That is actually not too bad -- the hotel offers a park, sleep and fly option and will shuttle you for free, but that would be $199.00 plus tax...so the cheaper option is to drive ourselves to the off-site parking. We will only be gone for 4 days. Thanks again for your expertise!
