Found a loft to stay in, now what?

Yeah! Found a place to stay for $500 for a week. I have a friend of a friend of a cousin of someone.I know....yada yada yada, allowing us to use their loft at this address. She said it is overlooking Grammercy Park

Now, those of you familiar with this area, any tips? I%26#39;m told there is a subway a block away. Do you know about inexpensive places to eat nearby?

Is there more than one CityPass? It seems like a good deal. What about subway cards, it that less expensive than pay as you go? And how about discount theatre tickets? Soomeone suggested to me Wed matinees are cheaper. And how do I plan of getting from LaGuardia to this address?

You were all a tremendous help with accomdations, and I was all set to stay at theh Brandon Womeen%26#39;s residence until this place popped up for less money.

This location is closer to Madison Square Park, not Gramery Park, maybe that is what your friend meant.

The #6 subway line is on 23rd %26amp; Park Avenue South.

The N/R lines are on 23rd %26amp; Broadway/5th Avenues (they intersect here).

6th Avenue - F/V lines

Plus both crosstown/uptown %26amp; downtown buses readily available.

For a weeks visit, if you plan to use the buses %26amp; subways extensively, purchase a weekly pass for $24.00 - unlimited rides, one of the best deals in town.

This location is walkable to many attractions, you are right near the Flatiron Building, walkable to Empire State Building, Union Square, Greenwich Village, it is a good, central location, mostly residential.

There is both the City Pass %26amp; NY Pass - see if your use will offset the cost. Some say yes, some no, depends on if it works for you.

Restaurants? Many on Park Avenue South, and you are very close to Union Square, where there are tons of places. Any particular type of food? On Park AVenue South is Big Daddy%26#39;s Diner, which is very good%26amp; there is an Associated supermarket on Park Avenue South @ 22nd.Street.
