Our second theatre night debate continues. Hubby%26#39;s now said that of everything on offer he%26#39;d prefer Les Miserables. I love it as a musical but the dreadful reviews Fantine has been getting are putting me right off. Wish Lea Salonga had already taken over.
Anyone seen Les Mis (current production)?
Don%26#39;t know when you are coming, but Daphne Rubin Vega%26#39;s last performance is scheduled to be February 18th.
Please don%26#39;t let her reviews spoil the show for you. Fantine does die off quite early on you know.
Anyone seen Les Mis (current production)?
We%26#39;re coming on Sunday. I know Fantine dies off early but am worried it will kill the show for us.
Ben Brantley%26#39;s review was not favorable to this production in general.
The only actor he strongly praised was Aaron Lazar.

If you%26#39;d read all the major reviews, you would have seen that the current Fantine%26#39;s reviews was about 50/50. The other cast members did not fare any better.
If you arrive after March 6, Lea Salonga will be your Fantine.
Nikkie Renee Daniels is Fantine between 2/19 and 3/5.
Understood.
Her understudy went on late last week and was reportedly wonderful.
We saw it mid-December. Although it wasn%26#39;t my favorite cast, I did enjoy the production (and thanked my lucky stars Fantine died early).
Enjoy!
Part of the fun is trying to spot the actress portraying Fantine being one of the barricade guys in the 2nd act. :-)
Saw it last Saturday. Apart from the teeny tiny seats that struggled to accomodate my 6%26#39;4'; better half (yes I know thats the theatre to blame not the production) we really enjoyed it. Seats j17-J19 good view
