Accomodation for family of 5 in New York

CAn anyone recommend a good place for a family of 5 in NY. Interconnecting rooms ok, and middle range pricing. Most websites do not help with interconnecting room details.

Our family of 5 stayed at the Doubletree Suites Times Square. Great central location, and very quiet rooms!

The Comfort Inn Chelsea has ';family suites'; which are actually just 2 bedrooms that share a bath. One bedroom has 2 double beds, the other a king or a queen. This is an older hotel adjacent to beautiful Madison Square Park and close to several subway stops. Choice hotels bought and renovated the property last year. The rates include a decent continental breakfast as well. Call Choice Hotels at 800-424-6423 for details.

One of the best options for a family of 5 is a suite hotel. You can get a studio (all one big room) or a 1 or 2 bedroom suite (separate sitting room and separate bedroom). You also get a small kitchen which comes in handy for breakfasts, snacks etc. Here are the more popular suite hotels

RAdiocityapartments.com

nycsalisbury.com

affinia.com (7 different all suite hotels)

Quikbook.com is a website with good prices on these and other hotels.

www.apartments2book.com is a London based agency that has contracts with many of the apt/hotels and some regular apts.

When you go to the website and chose NYC, you%26#39;ll see a map with numbers. I%26#39;ve made a ';cheat sheet'; here with the names of the properties and their numbers on that site. YOu can read reviews here. Most are very well regarded. You can also compare prices by getting a quote directly from the hotels as well. Word is, apts 2 book is usually cheaper.

1=Affinia 50

2=Affinia Manhattan

3 San Carlos

4-Best Western Hospitality

5=the Blakely

7=Radio City apts.

8=Eastgate Tower

9=Murray Hill East Suites

11=Beacon

12=Lucerne

16=Benjamin

29=Elysee

Some of these also have 2 bedroom suites. The Best Western has one of the more affordable 2 bedroom suites (but only 1 bathroom).

I think the Parker Meridien hotel has some connecting rooms and suites but may be pricier than these options.

Hi just returned from New York aand we stayed at the Hilton Avenue of the Americas in a double suite, and was ok my self %26amp; husband plus 19yr.

, 17 and 14 was ok and because it was counted as an executive suite complimentary breakfast by snacks at pre evening meal thrown in reasonable price woulld recommend

quindad`s suggestion for the ';family suites'; at The Comfort Inn Chelsea, is a good one. Don`t know your budget constraints, but this is probably the most reasonably priced option of those properties that have been mentioned. As stated, this is an older building that has had a recent facelift. The facade of the property won`t impress, but the rooms compact, nice and well kept. Amenities include a television in each room, coffee maker, ironing/ironing board, small refrigerator and the included continental breakfast. It`s also in a quiet, safe area and close to public transportation. You can see the details at choicehotels.com
