My family is going to NY on Feb27 to Mar 6.It will be our first time in the city.My one year old daughter will be coming with us and I am four months pregnant.Affinia 50 and Beekman tower are being offered with deals on travelzoo and quikbook, prices are somewhat close. With Belvedere no deals as yet but have read the reviews here and not bad either. As with our situation which hotel do think is convinient to us location wise%26amp;easy acsess to transportation. The reasons that I am keen with this kind of hotel is because I am after the microwave for heating my baby%26#39;s needs.
And also..we are contemplating of taking the tour bus in NY to see mostly of the sights..any suggestions?
Thanks very much....
Affinia 50 vs. Beekman Tower or Belvedere
We truly enjoyed our stay in a 1-bedroom suite at the Beekman Tower last month %26amp; our suite there was larger than the one we had at the Affinia 50, but the Affinia 50 would be a better location for you.
Affinia 50 vs. Beekman Tower or Belvedere
Location-wise, Affinia 50. They may even upgrade you to a larger suite if you ask at check-in.
I have stayed at the Affinia 50 and the Belvedere. Both are nice and well-located, but the Affinia 50 is much nicer, in my opinion. We had a 1-bedroom suite, and it had a kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, etc. The Belvedere has a small area with a mini-fridge and microwave, but no dishes or pots and pans. Both hotels have small grocery stores nearby to stock up on supplies if needed. I really enjoyed both hotels, but if given a choice, I would go back to the Affinia 50.
The Affinia 50 is the nicest hotel of the bunch. Both the Affinia 50 %26amp; the Beekman Tower have 1 bedroom apts. where you%26#39;d have 2 rooms so the baby could nap while you watch tv etc. You may not want to pay extra for the 1 bedroom, but it could be worthwhile. The Belvedere is closest to Times Square where most of the tour buses start. So it%26#39;s a hard decision.
Make sure you check prices on Affinia.com Lately, those are the best.
Thank you everyone for the much needed advise and suggesstions.I am really into Affinia 50,just to convince my husband now for a few dollars difference.Seeing the map ,grand central is not far away from this area so I will think something out..
thank you again...
