Aka, at JFK, the baggage claim areas are on ground level after you clear customs. Outside the baggage claim area on the street, look for the line of yellow taxis (these identify a NYC official taxi) and the line of people waiting for them.

There is an official at the top of the line who assigns the taxi to the next person waiting in line. The line moves quickly because there are so many taxis always joining the line. The driver will help you and your friend with your luggage and you tell him where you are going, the address of the hotel, and you will be taken directly to the hotel. It%26#39;s that simple.

TAXI from JFK to midtown - flat rate $45.00 with tip/toll $60.00.

IMO the best way to go!

The subway is safe, but often crowded, and there are usually stairs -- that is why with luggage the subway will be difficult.

You would be wise not to confuse ';Park Central';, which is the name of your hotel, with ';Central Park';, the large city park that is two blocks away.

Always keep in mind that cab drivers will usually NOT know where the hotel, or restaurant, or theater, or shop, that you want to go to is just by name. When using a cab, ALWAYS have the address you are going to, and it is best if you can give cross streets -- for example, ';The Park Central hotel, Seventh Avenue at 57th Street';.

The Park Central is near Carnegie Hall, but is about a half mile from Times Square.

i heard bout some kind of buses that can bring u directly to the hotel door... is that true??? as u can see im like a lil bit lost in all this :-s

btw thanx for ur help peeps!

With two people, take a taxi. Any bus that takes you there will take longer (may stop other places first) and the cost savings will be minimal.

The buses that bring you to your hotel also bring dozens of other people to their hotel so it can take forever. If you insist on this, use Airlink NOT Super Shuttle. Super Shuttle in NYC is JUST AWFUL. Here are all your options with links

hmmm oookkk then the taxi option all of u think that is the best one???? n bout the buses ... somebody told me that were like $17... but as i said bfore im lost with all that... its my 1st time there n i dont know anything... thats y im asking u know... hope that this ques wouldnt be bothering all of u ...

Here%26#39;s a recent post about the bad service of the Super Shuttle

There is also the Super Shuttle if you are looking to save money. It costs somewhere around $15-$20 and will take about 10 people to the city in a van. The downside is it can take as much as three times as long thanks to waiting on the shuttle, the driver picking up other passengers at JFK%26#39;s many terminals. And then if he starts dropping people off in lower Manhattan first, you will have a long ride uptown.

I personally always take the subway to JFK. It is easy, not that much longer of a ride than a cab and will drop you off in Midtown East where you can always catch a cab to your hotel if it is far from the E Train stop.

Total cost for the entire subway journey including Airtrain = $6.

after read bout supershuttle nope i not gonna use that... thats for sure... so besides how to arrive to the hotel... what do u recommend me to see?? besides the typical things like empire state, liberty statue n all that u know... i know maybe im asking for too much stuff :-s sowwie :-s
