The Benjamin.....best deal????

Hi There,

Thanks to all your help on trip advisor, I have a decided that I would like to stay at one on the Affinia hotels, I really love the sound of the Benjamin....but it seems a bit expensive, any ideas how or where to get a better rate?

Or advice on whether the Affinia 50 or Dumont (or any other hotel) would be better for our needs.....shopping and eating!!

Thanks

All comments welcome.

The Benjamin.....best deal????

Shopping is all over NYC, there is not one hotel that is near everything.

For example, the Affinia Dumont is in a mostly residential neighborhood on 34th Street between 3rd %26amp; Lexington Avenues. It is a 4 block walk to Macy%26#39;s and 34th Street shopping, a quick bus or subway ride to Soho, Greenwich Village %26amp; Union Square shopping, walkable to Grand Central %26amp; 5th Avenue, so the area is convenient and lots of places to eat within a 4 block radius.

The Affinia 50 %26amp; Benjamin are also in very convenient areas, so I would book where you get the best deal.

Save your money for shopping, you can%26#39;t go wrong with any of these hotels.

The Benjamin.....best deal????

Posters can be of much more help if you could give the price range and hotel amenities that you`re seeking....also the dates of your travel to New York. While The Affinia hotels are suite properties, The Benjamin is not. Are you looking for a suite?

The Benjamin is certainly a suite hotel. But I agree with NYCgirl that the Affinia 50 or the Dumont are also fine for your needs. The Affinia 50 is very near the Benjamin. If the price is much better, go there. You might double check prices on quikbook.com vs. the affinia.com site. Also, if you book something that%26#39;s cancellable, there are sometimes specials for these hotels on travelzoo.com If you see one before your trip you can cancel the old res. and rebook at the discount rate.

What sort of shopping do you want?
