GWB: I simply must thank you for your ';Idiot%26#39;s guide to the Brooklyn Bridge'; and the follow up posts with directions from the subway to Grimaldi%26#39;s and Grimaldi%26#39;s to the entrance of the bridge. On Sunday I took my gang to Grimaldi%26#39;s following your directions and thoroughly enjoyed it. The directions were spot on. But even better than you directions to Grimaldi%26#39;s from the subway were your directions from Grimaldi%26#39;s to the entrance to the bridge. While not complicated, it is clear to me that finding the entrance from Grimaldi%26#39;s would not have been simple without your directions.
As for Grimaldi%26#39;s, the pizza was excellent. I could not get over how fresh it was. Because they use fresh mozzerella the pizza was not greasy at all! Delicious! The adults enjoyed the pizza with some Brooklyn Lager, yum!
We all thoroughly enjoyed the walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was quite foggy on Sunday but the temperature was delightful and we all loved the walk. Looking forward to trying again when the sky is clear. The skyline must be fantastic!
Thanks again for the very detailed, easy to follow directions. Moms
Green White and Blue, a big THANK YOU!
Moms, I am delighted they were helpful!
For those wondering about what momstravel is referring to, the directions to popular locations in downtown Brooklyn are collected here, at the ';Idiot%26#39;s Guide to Brooklyn:Brooklyn Directions'; post -

Green White and Blue, a big THANK YOU!
GWB: Thanks to you, my family and friends have deemed ME their local expert on NYC. I, of course, attributed it all to you (indeed I did!) Still they are pleased, once again, with the things I have learned and the things they have seen thanks to this forum. I have been told that Grimaldi%26#39;s and a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge are ';must do'; activities when may extended family of 25 comes to visit in April. I think I should get a red or pink or blue umbrella to lead such a gang, but again, with your directions I shall look the part of a true tour guide! Moms
GWB, do you know if that info is still available? I was anxious to print it out as your Idiot%26#39;s Guide to the Subway was so helpful. However the system keeps telling me it in unavailable. May be that I am doing something wrong but...?? Many thanks.
Moms, I so agree with you. Getting to and from the bridge is much trickier than it seems. There%26#39;s nothing like having a great guide!
If you come in warm weather, highly recommend coming just before sunset and viewing the skyline in light and then watch as the lights start slowly going on, on the bridge and the buildings. It%26#39;s really pretty.
flanneur, do you mean the link in my post above, in this thread? I have no trouble pulling it up -- so I guess tht means it is still available.
Thanks GWB, I%26#39;ll give it another go.
