Yikes you left this to the last minute on a holiday weekend! If they%26#39;ll eat Mexican, Blockheads is one idea

Angelo%26#39;s Pizza is another idea. They have a location on west 57th but there%26#39;s another in the Ed Sullivan theater (54th %26amp; Broadway) Not sure how big that one is.
Ellen%26#39;s Stardust Diner is an obvious option but not sure about rezzies and it could be mobbed.

thanks. I know this is a totaly spur of the moment night. I was surprised we got the tickets just yesterday and at half price.
sometimes these are the best plans. no chance to overthink things.
How about Carmine%26#39;s? Everybody seems to like it - never been, they seem to cater to larger parties and everything is family style.
Poppa
John%26#39;s Pizzeria on 44th near Times Square. It offers great pizza, salads and pasta in an old church. It%26#39;s a cool atmosphere. Following the play you can always get dessert at Ellen%26#39;s Stardust Diner. It%26#39;s not usually as crowded then and the singers are all warmed up! Moms
These two restaurants are definitely kid-friendly, and you can check out their web sites to see if their menus are in your price range:
鈥?Virgil%26#39;s Barbecue on W. 44th
鈥?Cafe Un Deux Trois on W 43rd
Another idea is Vynl on 9th avenue. It%26#39;s cool, the food is descent and my daughter%26#39;s friends and moms loved it when we went in December (18 12 and 13 year old girls!) Moms
I vote for Vynl!! The bathrooms are a MUST!

Thanks for the recommendation of Vynl in December, Queens. It was a real hit with the girls, and the moms too. Great eggs benedict!
Any recommendations for a group of eight for brunch on Sunday either near the Natural History Museum (if it rains) or WTC site (if it doesn%26#39;t)? Thanks, Moms
I just wanted to relate my experience trying to get groups into John%26#39;s Pizza on a Saturday night for dinner before a show. I%26#39;ve tried it twice for somehwat larger groups (about 25) and here%26#39;s the problems.
1. Whether they give your a reservation or not, they absolutely will not seat you until you%26#39;re all there. So if you%26#39;re coming seperately you have a big problem.
2. Once you are all there they will attempt to make up an area for you. This took over 40 min on one occasion and over an hour on another. The waiting area is unbelievably crowded.
3. Service was OK when we all ordered pizzas -- I guess because that%26#39;s easy for them to do. Service was somewhat less than Ok the time we ordered different things
4. Totally forget about separate checks
