Has anyone been to either of the two? Are they worth the stop? Do you have to eat there or can you go just for drinks? Trying to plan bachelorette party and looking for some fun places to go. LIPS and Lucky Cheng%26#39;s were suggested to me....looking for feedback and any other suggestions.
LIPS vs. Lucky Cheng'sI%26#39;ve been to both and if I had to pick one it would be Lips.
I had a friend visiting from LA last year who insisted on going to Lucky Chengs. I%26#39;d been many years ago when it opened. My feeling after my last visit was that it had seen better days.
LIPS vs. Lucky Cheng'sI also haven%26#39;t been to Lucky Cheng%26#39;s in forever, but I recall there being a stage, DJ, theatric lighting, etc, so bachelor/bachelorette parties are more organized. Lips is more intimate, good for smaller groups, not as touristy, so you get more, erm, personal attention from the drag queens.
That could be a good thing or a bad thing! ;o)
I believe you don%26#39;t need to order food at either location, you can just drink.
How about The Slipper Room?

Actually QB, what I was saying is that I was there not long ago.
It was really worn out looking, and full of bachelorette parties, Actually thats all there was. And us.
I agree that Lips would be more intimate. It%26#39;s a smaller space and I agree that you%26#39;d probably get more attention from the drag queens.there were probably 5 bachelorette parties in LC that night.the rest of the place was empty.
I%26#39;m curious about the Slipper Room, I%26#39;ve nver been.
Thanks for the advice. LIPS it is...but I will look into the slipper room as well.
I';ve only been to the Slipper Room once, but I%26#39;ve been meaning to go back. It was fun, but you have to be ready for tacky/schmaltzy/lowbrow humor and entertainment!
