When you say designer cut and color what price range are you thinking?
In the city the better salons will offer cut and color from two people.
A cut with a stylist will range from about $125-$200 and up.
Color, A single process will be about $100-$150, Hilights $225-$350 and up.
Some of the top salons in the city are,
John Barrett, 9th floor of Bergdoff Goodman.
FrederickFekkai, In Henri Bendels
AKS, Madison Ave. at 62nd.
These are a few places to start. I am a colorist here in the city. I would always suggest going somewhere where you see a stylist and a colorist. Most people regardless of what they say don%26#39;t do everything well, or are stronger at one then the other. IE, better at cutting then color or vice versa.
As for Spas,

The G-Spa at the Gansevoort.
Bliss, another good option.
