Hi
We are a family of 4 including an 11 and 15 year old ,visiting New York for the first time. Our visit is planned between April 5th to 9th.
I will appreciate any advice for must see attractions. I am still in process of looking for a place to stay (using advice that I found here).

I hope you%26#39;ve noticed the Beekman Tower hotel has a great rate of less than $200/night for a 1 bedroom suite (2 separate rooms) for your dates on Affinia.com
The hotel is right near the United Nations.
For advice on attractions, go up to the top of this page to the ';sticky'; marked trip reports and look through some from families with teens. You should also read under the tab at the very top of the page marked ';attractions.';
If you tell us about your family%26#39;s special interests, we might be able to guide you better. Are you interested in visiting any synagogues? Are you into music? Theater? Food?
Most visitors seem to love the Tenement Museum on the lower east side which is the area populated largely by Eastern European Jews when they first came over around the turn of the last century. The museum is small and should be booked in advance. A visit to Ellis Island where many immigrants first landed is also a good idea (but time consuming).
