I am in NYC right now staying in the Grand Hyatt-Grand Central. How would I get to Little Italy, and what is a good place to eat fairly cheap, but authentic? Thanks!!!
Little Italy
At Grand Central take the 6 train downtown to Canal Street, exit North side of Canal Street and walk a couple/few blocks to Mulberry Street. Do a search for recommended restaurants in Little Italy on this site as there are not to many
Little Italy
FYI, Little Italy has largely been taken over by Chinatown -- there%26#39;s not much Little Italy left
Good luck. I tried to find it walking all over the place. Could only find chinese restaurants and street vendors. I%26#39;m not sure Little Italy really exists in NYC anymore.
Sad about the above posts and loss of little Italy, but IMO NY
is big Italy. Find out from the regulars on this sight which of the very many excellent restaurants all over the city mets your needs.
It%26#39;s too late now, but I was going to recommend Lombardi%26#39;s.
While Little Italy is disappearing, IMHO it is alive and well and residing on Mulberry Street. I like Casa Bella and Il Palazzo. Moms
moms, where is casa bella I%26#39;ve checked on menu pages and it doesn%26#39;t come up with anything

Da Nico is another option in Little Italy although there are now many more ';authentic'; Italians any and everywhere else. Little Italy is mostly for tourists now. ;(
