Budget hotel for a young couple

Me and my girlfriend are going to New York in March for a week (11th-18th). We are looking for a budget hotel (max. 129 dollars a night, taxes included) in Manhattan area. The room should have a private bathroom and preferably a tub. Any recommendations?

The only way you will find a room for that price with a private bath is if you can find a special sale on travelzoo.com or perhaps if you were to try bidding on Priceline. You could perhaps find an apartment for that price but it%26#39;s not going to be wonderful. Be very careful at that price. Do NOT consider the Pennsylvania or the Carter or any apartment with the name Woogo.

The Red Roof Inn occasionally has specials for $99/night plus tax, but not in March. Their website is applecorehotels.com

If you want to have a look for apts., try nyhabitat.com or maybe Craigslist.com but be very careful not to pay for anything without checking here first. :0)

have a look at the pod hotel (formerly the pickwick arms) it is very affordable and has been recently rennovated. Looks great i am planning a stay there myself. i am only 19 so i have little money too and it seems to be a nice hotel in a great location with ensuite for a good price
