Don%26#39;t panic and give the locals a chance to reply Marthy. They were in bed when you posted earlier ; - )

oh man im so so sorry forgot the time difference im blonde!!!

June 20 will b e really nice, partly cloudy and mild with temps around 70F or 21C (i hope but you really can%26#39;t forcast weather here that far in advance)

Macy*s is at 34th and 6th ave, Bloomingdales 57th and Lex, Tiffinays 57th and 5th. Might want to take a taxi

Woodbury commons is huge. If mom has problems walking you might consider somthing else.

The Hop on bus is more for siteseeing, not transport. The regular city buses, subways, and taxi%26#39;s will be better. (a DAY pass for the subways and bussed costs only $7)

the parade is on SUNDAY June 24th and (Gay Pride DAY is always the last Sunday in June.) and the parade will effect the trafic in the city, especialy around 5th ave (all crosstown traffic will be hell) and in the Village west of 5th. Parade goes down 5th avenue from Central park to washington square park, then heads west on Christopher street. With mom using a cane i%26#39;d avoid the parade route in the Village area (it%26#39;s hard to walk around). If you and mom want to take in the parade I find the crowds less around 20th steet not too bad.

Wellington is on 7th Avenue and 55th St. - 4 short blocks south of Central Park, Times Square is 8 short blocks north of Times Square and 2 long blocks west of 5th Avenue.

Entrance to the subway is at the corner. Also a bus stop at the corner

You might reconsider Woodbury - involves lots of walking.

The hop on hop off bus should be used as a sight seeing vehicle, not to get from one place to another. For that use the subway or a bus

It will be warm to hot when you are visiting.

On Gay Pride day crosstown vehicular traffic will be affected. Will have no effect on subway travel. Might be a good day to visit Ellis Island.

When you go to Bloomingdale%26#39;s and Macy%26#39;s, go to the service desk before you start shopping to get your visitors%26#39; discount card. All you need to do is show an ID.

marthy - I%26#39;m blonde and gay - you got a problem with that?

P.S. on Gay Pride day me and my crew will be looking out for your tour bus, keep your eyes open!

:-)

hi guys thanks for your replys, i didnt make my self clear i know the hop on hop of is for site seeing and i think this will be the best way to see the sites more so for my mum instead of taken taxis to each site as in ellis island, ESB etc

as for woodbury shes a big shopper but what i do is find her a bench she give me a list i get the shopping bring it to her see if she happy with it

so would i be better doing the site seeing tour friday and sat and head to woodbury on the sunday to get away from the parade not that i have anything against it but i dont want to sit in traffic i do enough of that at home!!!

THANKS AGAIN

sorry Ednoo im only blonde not gay! but still look out to wave!
