hi there iam visting for the 1st time on thursday flying delta from manchester to jfk,can anyone tell me what we will do when coming through customs and things and how long to get to our hotel the novotel near times q we arrive at 13:30,and when going back next weds we fly at 8pm so what time would we have to set off back to jfk

Going through customs, you will get your photo and fingerprints taken, you%26#39;ll hand over the forms you%26#39;ll have been asked to fill in on the plane and will probably be asked a question or two about the purpose of your visit / how long/where you%26#39;ll be staying, etc - nothing too complicated!

That bit only takes a minute or two, but the total time (including queuing) will vary depending on how many flights have just come in, how many customs officers they have on duty etc. so no exact formula (although more regular travellers than me might be able to hazard a guess!).
